Opportunity

PCRS is seeking a dynamic, experienced leader to support the Foundry Surrey team through the development over the next year. Reporting to the Director of Foundry Surrey, the manager will be responsible for implementation of services, setting the direction of participant services, operational planning, community engagement, facilitation and leading youth and family tables to ensure persons served voices and input is included in programming. The manager will bring their exceptional organizational skills to this role and will work with current and new partners to develop services schedules and service delivery models. They will have excellent facilitation skills, public speaking and be able to engage very diverse groups.

 

The manager will also lead the current Foundry team and support the growing team needs once the doors are open.

 

Bringing their comprehensive knowledge of integrated youth services, Foundry BC and Surrey, the successful applicant will have experience in leading clinical teams in a trauma informed environment, team building, mentoring, and supporting and interdisciplinary team.

 

Foundry Surrey as well as partner agencies and will support the programs outlined in the core services of all Foundry centres: Primary Care, Substance Use, Mental Health, Social Services and Peer Support. This position requires a sound understanding of service operations and management, applicable legislation, staff leadership, advocacy, team building, contract management, culture sensitivity, and service evaluation.

 

This position requires a flexible work schedule including evenings and occasional weekends and is not available for a remote work agreement.

 

Qualifications

  • Master's or bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline, combined with at least five (5) years’ experience in a leadership/manager position responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of operational programming related to services.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered.
  • Demonstrated experience in program management, staff leadership, supervision, fiscal    management, working with interdisciplinary teams and budgeting.
  • A thorough knowledge of the Foundry BC network
  • Experience in youth work and community development, and a trauma informed approach is required.
  • Experience creating and working within a culturally inclusive environment for staff, partners, and participants.
  • Effective team building and mentoring skills.
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal, presentation, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills: ability to balance multiple, often conflicting priorities.
  • A vehicle and valid driver’s license are required

  • Standard first-aid certificate and CPR
  • Computer skills (MS Word/Excel/Outlook)
  • Communication skills including social media.
  • Familiarity with resources across Surrey
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Systems thinker who is collaborative
  • Experience working with Youth and Families as partners in governance and leadership.
  • Experience with philanthropy including fund development, stewardship and recognition.
