Position Summary:

Pacific Community Resources Society is seeking an experienced leader to coordinate the efforts of the WorkBC program. Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the centre, the Assistant Manager is responsible for providing training and supervision to staff. The coordinator understands WorkBC policies, targets, and mandates, developing and implementing strategies to ensure effective service delivery. The Assistant Manager using strong leadership skills will consistently evaluate program operations and outcomes. Working closely with the Manager, the Coordinator promotes best practices and works to ensure high-quality service and fiscal viability of the contract.

The Assistant Manager will have expertise working within the WorkBC model and policy, as they will be responsible for auditing case files, approving training applications and ensuring compliance with eligibility requirements. As the program and policies evolve and change, the coordinator will adapt and disseminate the information and changes to the staff team, training them to fulfill their job duties. This position requires working evenings and weekends based on operational need.

Academic and Job Experience Required:

  • Certification / Degree in human services or related field plus leadership experience.
  • Expertise in the labor market and employability issues relating to a variety of specialized populations and familiarity with associated legislation and ministry policies. An equivalent combination of education and work experience will be considered                 

Basic Requirements:

  • Criminal Record Check including the vulnerable sector
  • Proof of being fully Vaccinated for Covid 19
  • Thorough knowledge of WorkBC employment services including knowledge of the Ministry databases.
  • Excellent computer skills and administrative capability that would support the development and implementation of e-based training, assessments, and registration; proficient in MS Office and ability to work with complex data bases, specifically the Integrated Case Management (ICM) system.

Desired Requirements:

  • Mental Health First Aid certification.
  • De-Escalation/Non-Violent Intervention training.
  • Occupational First Aid – Level 1.

Salary Range:   $36.80/hour – $38.45/hour, Plus benefit package (100% employer-paid)
